Indian Ocean founder Nahim Aslam revisited the Indian sub-continent to locate the most talented chefs he could find for the launch of the restaurant's authentic new menu that introduces the authentic tastes of Indian, Kashmiri and Punjabi cuisine to local area diners for the first time.

The restaurant’s kitchens now boast a team of twelve first class specialists, with all the experience and skills to produce the traditional tastes of regional home country cooking here in Tameside for the first time.

Training
We take our commitment to training our team very seriously, and we understand that they have different skills and areas of expertise. We work closely with Tameside College and their instructors to ensure that our kitchen and front of house (restaurant and bar) staff can be trained to the highest level.

During 2004, our chefs attended afternoon sessions at Tameside College to gain NVQs from the Asian Cooking Course, taking their level of knowledge and skills to a higher level.

We are committed to continuing to develop the Indian Ocean team and to ensuring that our customers enjoy the highest standards in food and impeccable service as a result.
